Last month, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued new guidance on mask-wearing. Quite simply, the CDC declared that fully vaccinated individuals who are outdoors don’t need to wear face coverings around small numbers of other fully vaccinated people.
Biden has been one of the main proponents of adhering to CDC guidance and “the scientists.” However, as it turns out, the president himself has not followed what he preaches. Despite being completely immunized against coronavirus, Biden still masks up outdoors even when he’s amongst other fully vaccinated people and not in large groups.
Yesterday, the White House defended President Biden’s breach of CDC guidance, as Fox News reports.
Taking “Extra Precautions”
On Sunday, a top aide within the Biden administration spoke to CNN about the president’s masking habits. According to this aide, Biden is employing “extra precautions” since he’s America’s president. Apparently, the Democrat president also takes “very seriously” the advice from the CDC, despite being in current breach of this advice.

Since the CDC’s altered guidelines on mask-wearing, President Biden has chosen to mask up wherever he goes. The leader of the free world has even worn face coverings while engaging in video conferences with other world leaders. Last month, Biden also continued his claims that wearing a face mask is a “patriotic” obligation that all Americans have.
The White House did not mention when President Biden plans to stop wearing masks outdoors.
Are Masks for Theater at this Point?
Last month, Sen. Rand Paul stated that fully vaccinated individuals wearing face masks are simply shows of theater without any real scientific basis. As time passes, the validity of this claim appears more and more sound.
In early to mid April, a reporter told Sen. Ted Cruz that the press would “feel” more comfortable if the fully vaccinated senator wore a face covering. Furthermore, some leftists are now suggesting that fully vaccinated individuals continue to wear face masks so they aren’t perceived as conservatives or Republicans.
Should vaccinated people wear masks just to avoid the appearance of being a Republican?

There are many other examples to cite; however, the above instances are clear displays of theater, not science. As more Americans are vaccinated, masks should become rarer, not further shoved down the throats of the people.
