House Rep. Maxine Waters is known for making wacky, outlandish, and questionable statements which cause people to shake their heads and wonder what her problem is.
In recent years, Waters has attracted censure for her statements about President Trump and Americans who support him. During 2017, the congresswoman infamously urged her supporters to “push back” on members of the Trump administration and make them uncomfortable in public. Waters is furthermore on record claiming that the president ought to be placed in solitary confinement.

Due to the aforementioned details (and many more), the last thing Waters should be doing is questioning another person’s intelligence. However, this is precisely what the Democrat congresswoman did on Sunday.
Breitbart News documents Waters’ claim that Ben Carson lacks the intelligence to serve as the U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Reviewing Waters’ Claims about Carson’s Intelligence
Waters’ criticism of Carson came after he admonished her for her manner of addressing President Trump. Not too long ago, the congresswoman wrote a letter to the president, demanding to know when his administration will take steps towards fixing the homelessness crisis in California. The HUD Secretary stated that Waters’ manner of addressing Trump was rude; this, in turn, prompted Waters to go after Carson on Sunday.
During a sit-down interview with MSNBC, Waters professed that Carson lacks the intelligence and qualifications for his current job. Additionally, the congresswoman went on to state that Carson “does not know the difference between REO and OEO.” Finally, she concluded her censure by dismissing the HUD Secretary entirely by denouncing his “background” and “capability” to “know what he’s doing.”
All of this is quite rich coming from someone like Maxine Waters.
Busting Waters’ Claims about Carson’s Intelligence
The most ironic aspect of Waters’ response to Carson is how much she proved his point. The HUD Secretary’s criticism of the congresswoman involved stating that she lacked manners. Waters chose to respond to this criticism in the most mannerless and classless way as possible.

In her rebuttal to Carson, Waters did nothing to show that she herself as any intelligence. Aside from his service as the HUD Secretary, Carson has a proven track record as a successful neurosurgeon; Waters, on the other hand, is known for her crazy remarks and for behaving in manners that indicate senility and a slipping grasp on reality.
