In a further radical regression, Democrats are now openly advocating for illegal immigration. Yesterday, 2020 presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren openly expressed her desire to sanction illegal immigration altogether, as documented by Breitbart News.
The Push to Accept Illegal Immigration
With the 2020 presidential election upon us, Democrats have decided that going even further to the left is a good idea. Yesterday, Elizabeth Warren spoke about illegal immigration and flat out stated that it’s an act which the United States government needs to decriminalize.
That’s right. If Warren had her way, people would be able to walk into the country at will without once being vetted or screened. Obviously, this poses a plethora of dangers and is not something that any sane, rational individual would propose, especially when they are running for president of the United States.
Warren provided the following statement regarding her support for illegal immigration:
“We should not be criminalizing mamas and babies trying to flee violence at home or trying to build a better future. We must pass comprehensive immigration reform that is in line with our values, creates a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants including our DREAMers, and protects our borders.”
It’s amazing that Democrats put out statements like this and then wonder why Republicans believe they want open borders.
The Importance of Immigration Laws
The merits of legal immigration used to be widely accepted by both Republicans and Democrats. Decades ago, Democrats opposed illegal immigration, but that’s all changed now. Democrats are further to the left than ever.
They want to authorize illegal immigration, abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), give reparations to people who were never slaves, do away with private healthcare and so much more. These radically leftist policies would absolutely decimate America as a nation, but progressives simply don’t care.
