On Sunday, a Kansas-based Vans employee was terminated after hurling expletives in a 14-year-old who wore a red ‘Make America Great Again’ hat, as documented by The Daily Caller News Foundation.
What Happened?
The young boy and his mother decided to go shopping at a Vans store at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park Kansas. At some point during their shopping trip, the Vans employee saw the 14-year-old’s hat and decided to say “f*ck you.” Now, this naturally did not sit well with the mother of the child who confronted the sales associate about what he said to her son.

Following this unfortunate incident, Vans released a statement which affirmed that the employee in the video was fired for his inappropriate treatment of the 14-year-old. Their statement reads as follows:
“Our focus is to provide the best customer service experience. We did let this employee go. He is no longer with our company. The actions and comments from this employee at the Oak Park location is in contrast with our values and beliefs. We have taken care of the situation.”
Although Vans handled the situation appropriately, this is not the first time in which someone wearing a MAGA hat has been subjected to harassment and mistreatment. Unfortunately, the left has largely conveyed the idea that it’s OK to belittle Americans who choose to openly support the president.
