Tucker Carlson Accused of Not Voting For Trump

Many Americans know and love Tucker Carlson’s Fox News segments. Carlson earned top ratings and popularity for covering news, politics, and social issues, often with a right-wing, populist slant.

The Fox News host is also widely regarded as a supporter of former President Trump. Carlson’s gone on record saying he likes the former president, his policies, and their impacts on America.

However, recent information from the New York Times is sharing an unexplored version of events concerning Carlson and his views about Trump.

Despite the Fox News host being photographed with Trump and Rep. Marjorie Greene at a luxury golf course this past weekend, the Times claims that Carlson is no fan of Trump, per Newsmax.

Reviewing NYT’s Claims About Carlson

Jeremy Peters of the Times claimed that Carlson’s pro-Trump disposition is different from his genuine views of the ex-president.

Peters, during a Newsmax interview, expressly declared that Carlson benefits from being photographed with Trump, having Trump’s base tune into his show, and being perceived as a Trump supporter.

Meanwhile, Carlson did not cast a ballot for Trump in the 2020 presidential election, according to claims from Peters. Later, the Times official went on to say the Fox News host also has a low opinion of the Americans who are genuine Trump fans.

After claiming that higher-ups at Fox News have chosen to wash their hands of Trump, Peters then predicted the network will become more amenable to having the former president on when it’s politically expedient.

Similar Rumors About Various Republicans

Peters’ remarks to Newsmax are not especially original. Since Trump left the White House, there have been previous rumors of some Republicans being secretly glad he’s gone and not wanting him to run for office again in 2024.

GOP Senate members, for instance, have been accused of believing that Trump ultimately has too much baggage to successfully win the 2024 presidential election.

However, hardcore Trump loyalists have been clear they want the former president to run for office and believe he’s the only suitable candidate.

Time will tell whether or not Tucker Carlson publicly responds to claims that he didn’t vote for Trump and doesn’t care for the former president or his base. Likewise, Trump has not publicly reacted to the claims made about one of his media allies.

The former president is, however, expected to announce his candidacy in the 2024 presidential election any day now.

Recently, the Republican National Committee came out and said it wouldn’t be footing the bill for the ex-president’s legal expenses if he announced his candidacy for the White House ahead of the November midterms.
