On Saturday, President Donald Trump spoke out about the ongoing Mueller investigation during his remarks to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) attendees, as documented by The Daily Caller News Foundation.
Trump on the Mueller Investigation
Special counsel Robert Mueller has maintained his Russia investigation since May 2017. Nearly two years later, not one shred of evidence tying President Trump to collusion with the Russian government has materialized. Since the Russia conspiracy theory has clearly failed, the investigation appears to be heading on a new trajectory.
This is something which the president pointed out yesterday:
“They don’t have anything with Russia. There’s no collusion. o now they go and morph into, ‘let’s inspect every deal he’s ever done. We’re gonna go into his finances. We’re gonna check his deals.’ These people are sick! They’re sick.”
The Witch Hunt
The Russia investigation has lagged on and on and on. Like the president, many of his supporters have denounced it as a politically motivated hoax and witch hunt. It has become readily apparent that Mueller’s probe is not about truth and justice, but instead a convoluted attempt to stick it to President Trump.
Thankfully, more and more Americans are waking up to this as time passes.
