Trump Kicks off New Communications Platform Amid Big Tech Blacklisting

Earlier this year, big tech carried out an all-out blacklisting of now-former President Trump. Sites like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc., declared that Trump’s remarks about the January 6 insurrection violated their terms agreements regarding incitement of violence. Therefore, these sites shut down the now-former president’s accounts.

However, big tech’s blacklisting campaign is not stopping Trump. He has an active account on Gab in addition to an office where press releases are sent out on a semi-regular basis. 

Just earlier this week, Trump also kicked off a brand new communications platform, as Fox News reports. 

A Closer Look at Trump’s New Communications Platform

The former president’s communications platform is available on www.DonaldJTrump.com/desk. From this link, Trump is able to post pictures, text, and videos; furthermore, the communications platform will soon allow the former president to converse with supporters. 

In a video announcement about the new communications platform, Trump makes very clear what it’s all about.

The video points out the importance of using “free” and “safe” speech to push back against “silence and lies”; furthermore, individuals who are interested in keeping up with this communications platform can do so via email or phone. Folks who sign up will then get notifications once Trump makes a new post. 

The former president is additionally active on Gab.com, a strong free speech friendly alternative to Facebook. 

Trump 2024? 

Many Americans are still wondering about whether or not Trump will run for president again once the 2024 election cycle rolls around. The former president hinted at a 2024 run days ago.

While Trump didn’t expressly commit to seeking office, he did declare that his supporters would be happy with the forthcoming announcement he makes regarding 2024. Many people have since interpreted this statement as an inference that Trump 2024 may be in the works. 

A spokesperson for Trump stated this week that his new communications platform should not be confused for a social media website. Per the Trump aide, new developments and information about Trump’s in-the-works social media site will be arriving very soon. 

In the meantime, supporters of the former president now have another way to keep up with him.
