Democrats’ refusal to accept the results of the Mueller probe has truly backfired of them. Thanks to their insistence upon continuing to much the issue and call for more subsequent investigation, a new investigation is in the works. However, it’s definitely not the investigation which Democrats initially anticipated.
Reviewing the Origins of the Russia Investigation
On Friday, President Trump announced that the motivations and origins of the Russia probe will be unearthed.
In the president’s own words:
“We want to be very transparent, so as you know, I declassified everything. We are exposing everything. [Investigators will] be able to see how and why this whole hoax started. [It was] an attempted takedown of the president of the United States. You’re gonna learn a lot. I hope it’s going to be nice, but perhaps it won’t be.”
Finally, Trump stated that reviewing the origins of the Russia investigation is not about seeking payback or revenge.
Revenge and Impeachment
President Trump and current investigators may not be interested in revenge, but Democrats certainly are. This was especially apparent during the Mueller probe when Democrats continued to assert that the investigation would end with the indictment and impeachment of President Trump.
Of course, that never happened, so it’s all about claiming that the president obstructed justice during the probe. At the end of the day, this all boils down to Democrats’ anger that Trump won in 2016 and their desire to impeach him. This is not secret, the left-wing has been screaming about impeachment and resistance since the moment of Hillary Clinton’s loss. They simply can’t let it go and this will be their downfall.
