A student at Santa Fe High School had his Trump cape and red Make America Great Again (MAGA) hat ripped off by another pupil, as documented by The Daily Caller News Foundation. This incident is something which has prompted considerable outrage, especially from individuals who are supportive of President Donald Trump.
What Happened?
The student who wore MAGA, pro-Trump gear is seen on video walking down a hallway when Kenneth Dewayne Jones, another student, blocks his path and confronts him. Soon after this, Jones literally grabs the pro-Trump cape and refuses to let go. When another student attempts to intervene, Jones snatches the cape and literally yanks it off the back of the student.

Since the student who wore Trump attire is not of adult age, his name is being kept out of this report. However, Kenneth Dewayne Jones is 18-years-old and currently facing legal penalties for his actions. Charges for battery and assault are listed on the municipal court summons under Jones’ name.
Jenny Wagnon, a spokesperson for the Edmond Police Department, provided additional details on this matter:
“How the summons works is that the student who is an adult, who was given the municipal summons, and the parents of the other student in the hat — those parents will have to contact the city attorney’s office within five days. Then both parties will meet with the city attorney and try to work something out. If not, then it’s up to the city attorney to file the assault charges against the student who is an adult.”
This is not the first time that violence has been carried out against an individual who openly supports President Trump. What do you think will happen next? Let us know in the comments section below!
