As Stacey Abrams runs to be the next governor of Georgia, she continues to be haunted by her own failed policies and poor decisions. Despite her assertions to the contrary, Abrams did not concede in 2018 when she lost the Georgia governor’s race to GOP incumbent Brian Kemp.
Now, Abrams is running against Kemp and Libertarian Shane Hazel for the Georgia governor’s mansion. The Kemp campaign continues to call out Abrams for her hypocrisy on a number of very important issues.
Furthermore, the Georgia Democrat’s scandals with mask hypocrisy, support for defunding the police, etc., aren’t doing her any favors.
This week, Abrams debated against both Kemp and Hazel in an event hosted by the Atlanta Press Club. To say this did not go well for Abrams would be a massive understatement, per Breitbart News.
A Rough Night For Abrams
On multiple occasions, the Georgia Democrat was called out by both Kemp and Hazel for her poor record. The debate format involved the panel asking questions of the three candidates, along with the three candidates asking questions of one another.
During multiple times, Kemp called out Abrams, saying she would be using the night to go after his record as governor because she doesn’t have one on her own.

The Georgia GOP governor likewise stated it’s problematic that Abrams supports the policies of the Biden administration and sits on a board that’s openly favorable towards defunding law enforcement.
During various moments, Hazel also called out Abrams, saying her views on government interference in Georgians’ lives are not good; albeit, Hazel also said the same thing about Kemp, alleging this is an issue that Democrats and Republicans struggle with.
At The End of the Day
When it’s all said and done, Stacey Abrams is deeply unlikely to become Georgia’s next governor. The support and poll numbers throughout the state simply are not there for her.
Four years ago, Kemp bested Abrams in the state’s gubernatorial election and he is on track to do so once again.

Abrams has a lot of things she has to defend and make up for. Meanwhile, Kemp has a decently solid record that he can fall back upon amid asking Georgia’s voters to reelect him.
Polls show that Kemp is projected to defeat Abrams in November and even again if the election has to go into a runoff. Either way, there’s no likely scenario where the Georgia Democrat walks away with the win.
