A group of analysts, who chose to remain unnamed, are now claiming former President Trump’s indictment might just be right around the corner.
This is due to a Fulton County judge’s decision to hear arguments regarding Trump’s involvement in the 2020 election and analyze whether his involvement in the 2020 election included an attempt to overturn the results.
Speculations of Trump’s indictment now shift to “imminent”
Earlier this week, the county’s District Attorney Fani Willis appeared before Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney to discuss a release of the jury report pertaining to Trump’s loss in Georgia during the 2020 election.

Willis claimed the report shouldn’t be made public, as it would prevent any of the defendants involved from having a fair trial.
Even though she didn’t say any names, it’s clear Willis was referring to Trump. She added it’s in everyone’s best interest to keep the reports hidden from the public eye, as they could lead to an imminent decision.
However, what the public did catch glimpse of was a recorded phone call from 2021 between Trump and Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.
In the call, Trump can be heard asking Raffenberger if he could find some extra votes that would help him beat his opponent Biden in the Georgia presidential election.
He continued, claiming that 11,780 votes is all he needs to win, prompting Willis’ to launch a full-scale investigation of Trump’s endeavors since the 2020 election.

The prosecution’s plan won’t hold up
Despite Willis’ requests, McBurney has continued to argue the jury reports should be made public; the prosecution could be recommended and carried out by Willis, even if the grand jury isn’t able to issue an indictment.
On top of this, it remains unclear who these indictments would be for, considering Trump’s been involved with hundreds of public figures in the past and could possibly drag a lot of them down with him.
However, this lack of clarity doesn’t mean squat to the average Twitter netizen and they went in for the kill the moment the word “indictment” was mentioned.

In typical condescending lib fashion, Twitter users started celebrating the idea of Trump’s “imminent indictment,” even though it’s yet to be confirmed.
However, Trump’s legal team tells a different story. According to them, they’ve never been part of the court process and assuming the grand jury did their job properly, it’s could be clear that Trump made no violations of US law.
Trump’s team was contacted for comment on the current developments, but they have yet to respond.
Another thing to note is that the grand jury isn’t allowed to include any comment that charges or accuses any identifiable person of misconduct. Such actions can only be performed by a true bill of indictment.
