When Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton in 2016, Democrats absolutely lost their minds. Immediately after Trump’s victory, the left vowed to become the party of the “resistance.” This is a promise which Democrats kept, but it hasn’t served them very well.
In Democrats’ determination to “resist” the president, they’ve gone as far left as humanly possible. Democrats are now open advocates of socialism and insulted if someone refers to them as “capitalists.” If this isn’t sad enough, Democrats furthermore remain deluded into believing that the radical shift of their party is “bold reform” and energizing the American people.

On Saturday, 2020 Democrat and self-proclaimed socialist Bernie Sanders made statements which show just how far gone the left is. Per Sanders’ own admission, he believes that none of his policies are far-left. The Daily Caller News Foundation also reports the 2020 Democrat’s claim that the American people “want” what he’s campaigning on.
A Closer Look at Sanders’ Assessment of His Policies
On Saturday, Bernie Sanders spent time speaking at an NAACP forum. During this time, the socialist felt compelled to defend his various polices, for some unknown reason. Now, to be clear, Sanders is supportive of policies which promise free housing, free healthcare, free college, absolution from medical debt, and absolution from student loan debt.
Like all dishonest socialists, Sanders promotes these free-for-alls while going out of his way to avoid talking about the other side of the coin. Higher taxes and job loss in America are only the beginning of what would follow if Sanders actually got his way on policy.
However, the 2020 Democrat maintains that none of his proposals are radically left; as a matter of fact, Sanders even had the audacity to declare that Americans “want” his “ideas.”
Sanders is one of the leading candidates within the 2020 field of Democrat candidates and yet, he’s clearly not living in reality.
Why Americans DON’T Want Far-Left “Ideas”
Americans don’t want what Sanders has to offer because his “ideas” would kill jobs and take money from hardworking folks. There are no free lunches in life and despite what Sanders is selling to the country, healthcare, college, housing, etc. will never be free. Likewise, debt will never be absolved without people paying off what they owe.

When Democrats talk about free handouts, what they really mean is they’re going to raise taxes in order to give the government more power. When the left claims they’re going to cancel debt, redistributing debt to individuals who never asked for it is what Democrats truly have in store.
Sanders and others within the Democrat Party are as far-left as it gets and shouldn’t further embarrass themselves by claiming otherwise.
