Democrats have been quick to jump on President Trump about his immigration policies and accuse him of inhumanity.
Of course, this is ironic, coming from a party which now openly champions the decriminalization of illegal border crossings. In the Democrats’ censure of President Trump, they often accuse him of separating children and families at the border; however, the left declines to mention or realize that family separations happened at the Southern border under former President Obama.

Yesterday, 2020 Democrat Bernie Sanders jumped at the opportunity to get in a dig at President Trump on immigration, but it backfired. The self-proclaimed socialist eagerly slammed Trump for “leading the world in locking up little kids.” However, if Sanders had taken a moment before hitting ‘tweet,’ he might have realized that the data he shared was from 2015, reports the Washington Examiner.
Reviewing Sanders’ Latest Slip-Up
Since realizing the error of his tweet, Sanders has taken down the erroneous post. The report which the socialist tweeted came from Reuters and contained outdated information. Since Sanders’ tweet, Reuters has also taken down their report and other similar media outlets are pulling the story.
Of course, tweeting out old data and attributing it to the current president isn’t something which Sanders has apologized for. As one of the most deranged and outspoken critics of Trump, Sanders will literally do anything to paint the president in a negative light. The socialist has repeatedly slammed Trump as racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, etc. without having a shred of evidence to support these accusations.
Sadly, the sharing of old data has contributed to a false narrative about the president and the treatment of migrants at the border. Yesterday doesn’t mark the first time that photographs and data of Obama-era immigration occurrences were attributed to Trump.
Upholding the Immigration Laws
Upholding the immigration laws of the land is absolutely imperative. If Sanders and other socialists had their way, illegal aliens would pour into the country at will, run amok, and face absolutely no consequences. Already, the Democrats are pushing for amnesty for illegal aliens who broke the law and continue to do so by staying in the country.

The 2020 Democrat talked about “immorality” in his now-deleted tweet, but there’s nothing more immoral than the rampant allowance of illegal border crossings and spreading fake news to push political narratives.
It’s not only a slap in the face to the American people, but also to legal immigrants who have come to America the right way. Contrary to what the left wants people to believe, following the immigration laws is not impossible, but a standard that anyone who enters America ought to be held to.
