Sanders: "Nobody Knows" Cost of Medicare-for-All!

Despite the rise of socialism within the Democrat Party, this doctrine will always fail because it’s rooted in fantasy world.

If radical progressives had their way, the government would be responsible for providing housing, healthcare, college, high-speed internet access, etc. Moreover, the wealthy would be taxed out of existence in order to pay for the aforementioned programs and the collective trillions of dollars of college and medical debt. Even if Democrats obtained what they’re campaigning for, it would ultimately result in failure once they taxed the people who actually work into oblivion.

As the 2020 presidential election plays out, running Democrats remain more committed than ever to force their socialist policies onto Americans, whether we like it or not. However, in campaigning so strongly for socialism, leftist candidates are being rightfully challenged and held to task on what they stand for.

As time goes on, the fantasy that Democrats are selling to their naive supporters continues to be exposed. Per reports from Washington Examiner, the latest example of socialism vs. reality came when Bernie Sanders admitted that “nobody knows” the costs of his favored Medicare-for-All plan.

The Great Lie of Medicare-for-All

The very notion of Medicare-for-All sells a lie to those who are deluded enough to believe it in. Backed by Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, Medicare-for-All claims that with enough government intervention and bullying, Americans can have “free” healthcare and never have to worry about costly bills for medical services.

Of course, this is simply not accurate. For all his talk about the greatness of Medicare-for-All, Sanders himself doesn’t even know how much this nightmare of a proposal would cost the United States; he admitted as much during an interview with CBS News.

Interviewer Norah O’Donnell noted during the exchange that Sanders’ plans of Medicare-for-All along with free college and absolution from student loan debt are set to cost approximately 60 trillion dollars over a ten-year period.

When pressed on a specific dollar amount for Medicare-for-All, Sanders attempted to downplay the estimated price tag, noting that he has “political opponents.” However, when O’Donnell asked him yet again, Sanders declared that “nobody knows” what Medicare-for-All costs.

An incredulous O’Donnell expressed shock that Sanders would propose a plan to the American people without even knowing how much money it’ll consume. Earlier in the interview, the CBS News host also noted that Medicare-for-All will engender job loss.

Reality Trumps Socialism

In the end, reality will always conquer and vanquish socialism. The United States of America was founded on values of freedom, liberty, and capitalism; socialism is inherently anti-American and sells falsehoods to naive individuals.

Throughout the 2020 election and even beyond, it’s going to be important for people to continue calling out socialists. Sanders doesn’t even know how much his own policies cost, yet he has no problem with sticking hardworking Americans with the tab. This speaks volumes about not only his poor character, but also his lack of fitness to become president of the United States.
