Since the inception of President Trump’s time in office, the Democrat Party has literally pulled out all stops to bring him down. First, it started with accusing Trump of colluding with the Russian government in order to defeat Clinton in 2016; when that didn’t work out, Democrats then claimed that the president obstructed justice during the Mueller investigation.
Calls to impeach have proceeded throughout Trump’s time as president; however, the Democrat Party is now truly working overtime to push the narrative that Trump engaged in a quid-pro-quo with the president of Ukraine.
The left’s latest narrative has been disproven, yet again, and so now they’ve switched to yet another tactic. On Thursday, 2020 Democrat Beto O’Rourke appeared on CNN and urged the president to “resign” from office, stating that Congress should move forward with impeachment proceedings if Trump fails to resign; these statements have been effectively documented by Breitbart News.
The Fear of the Democrat Party
The Democrat Party is deeply terrified of President Trump and their terror continues to become more and more obvious. Despite the various smear attacks which the left has subjected this president to, it seems as though they’re coming around to the reality that they’re not going to win the 2020 presidential election.
This realization explains why O’Rourke appeared on air yesterday and urged the president to resign from office.
Despite the absurdity, O’Rourke’s statements read as follows:
“I’m [calling upon President Trump] to do the right thing and to resign from this office. If we’re talking about bringing together a very divided country, unifying once again around the great challenges that we have, then the most divisive president that we’ve ever had, one who is breaking laws with complete impunity right now, tearing this country apart, must step down. That’s the right thing to do, but should he fail to do that, the House must vote to impeach!”
Political Delusions of Granduer
O’Rourke’s statements make it very apparent that Democrats want to bully this president into resigning from office. Those who believe that Trump is going to step down are kidding themselves; furthermore, O’Rourke foolishly talks about the House voting to impeach Trump as if this is the end all be all.
The Democrat-controlled House may very well be able to organize and vote for impeachment, but any proceedings will be shut down by the Senate. O’Rourke, as a politician, and someone who wants to become the next president ought to know better.
