Whenever progressives find themselves in political conflict or in situation which are not going their way, they play the race card. Americans have witnessed this dynamic time and time again and it never stops being sad. Flagrantly accusing any and everyone of racism devalues the word itself. Furthermore, it shows that progressives do not truly have real arguments or positions to stand upon. If they did, they wouldn’t constantly slander conservatives and Republicans as evil racists.
The trend of false racism accusations continues with House Rep. Ilhan Omar. Yesterday, Omar appeared for a speaking event at the Muslim Collective for Equitable Democracy, as noted by Breitbart News; during her speech, Omar attacked President Trump and brazenly accused him of always being a racist. This unwarranted and most recent attack on the president of the United States comes as Omar and the other 75% of “The Squad” remain in an ongoing feud with Trump.
False Accusations of Racism Against the President
Quite frankly, it’s actually very sad that Democrats fail to understand that blatant accusations of racism do not help their image. It’s also very telling that leaders within the Democrat Party continue to put up with the conduct of freshmen Congress members like Ilhan Omar. She has repeatedly made incendiary statements, not just about President Trump, but also regarding America as a whole.
Her remarks which accused the president of lifelong racism yesterday read as follows:
“Right now, even when we’re talking about the president, people will say, you know, his remarks are racist, and we’ll forget the inherent racism that has always been part of him. [Trump] always takes an opportunity to others to vilify them and destroy their existence and ability to access our justice system.”
Omar then went on to lament over the impacts of racism:
“Racism distracts, racism destroys and racism can kill and so we have to also confront that. So often, so many people walk around naive to the idea of how threatening this could be and we see it creep into so many policies.”
It’s too bad that Omar fails to realize the danger of accusing anyone who challenges her of racism.
President Trump’s Statements on Omar
The president has repeatedly called out the disturbing comments which Omar made about the United States and 9/11. Unlike Omar, the president actually has evidence to support his claims and declarations. On Tuesday morning, Trump noted that Omar’s radicalism and concerning statements will help him to win the state of Minnesota in the 2020 presidential election.
At this point, it has become clear that Omar lacks any real ammunition against President Trump. This is why she continues to peddle the same narrative that the president is a racist. Despite her statements, she has no proof or basis to credibly accuse Trump of past or present racism. She is, however, truly shining a light on how far the Democrat Party has fallen.
