House Rep. Ilhan Omar recently made an eyebrow-raising accusation against President Trump. The accusation comes via Twitter and pertains to Venezuela, according to The Daily Caller News Foundation.
A Closer Look at Omar’s Accusation
The House member posted the following tweet pertaining to President Trump and Venezuela:
A US backed coup in Venezuela is not a solution to the dire issues they face. Trump's efforts to install a far right opposition will only incite violence and further destabilize the region. We must support Mexico, Uruguay & the Vatican's efforts to facilitate a peaceful dialogue.

Omar’s accusations of a “U.S. backed coup” come after the president spoke out in favor of the Venezuelan people regaining their freedom in the country. See for yourself in the president’s following statement:
“The people of Venezuela have courageously spoken out against Maduro and his regime and demanded freedom and the rule of law. I will continue to use the full weight of United States economic and diplomatic power to press for the restoration of Venezuelan democracy.”
The House Representative is currently facing backlash for insinuating that President Trump is attempting to overthrow the Venezuelan government.

Ilhan Omar’s statements about President Trump and the Venezuelan government should not come as a surprise to anyone who has been paying attention to the political climate in America. The left has become so enamored with hating Trump that it doesn’t matter what he says or does. If the president cured cancer, Democrats would accuse him of putting doctors out of work.
