Yet another Democrat has found themselves in hot water for wrongdoings which their party frequently accuses Republicans of. Virginia Governor and Democrat Ralph Northam is currently making headlines for his medical school yearbook which features a photo of blackface and Ku Klux Klan attire, according to Townhall.
A Closer Look at the Damning Yearbook Photo
Some people say that you can never outrun your past. In the case of Governor Northam, this idea couldn’t be more accurate. An image from his medical school yearbook shows two men; one is in blackface, while the other is wearing KKK robe and a white hood. At this point in time, it’s unclear which one is Northam; however, the photo came from the Eastern Virginia Medical School library in the yearbook of 1984. Coincidentally, this is the exact year in which Northam graduated from the institution.
Of course, social media is having a field day with Northam and rightfully so. At this time, his office has not yet responded to the surfacing of the image.
Going Forward
At this time, there is no word regarding specific consequences which will follow the release of Governor Northam’s medical school yearbook image. However, the image does prove a bigger point: Democrats are masters as projection. The left has called conservatives and Republicans racists more times than one can count. However, it seems as though Democrats are the ones with their hands caught in the cookie jar. Going forward, the left might do well to properly vet their own candidates and leaders before insinuating and flat-out stating that racism and the right-wing are synonymous entities.
