Former House Representative and Democrat Beto O’Rourke will be heading a protest against President Donald Trump at the Southern border, according to Townhall.

The aforementioned protest will take place later today when the president appears in El Paso, Texas to rally with his supporters. Of course, the people who will be countering Trump and his backers are doing so due to his immigration policies, particularly the mandate for border wall funding.
O’Rourke and the anti-Trump protesters furthermore view the border as “a vibrant, safe, binational community that proudly celebrates its culture, history, diversity, and status as a city of immigrants.”
Perhaps, they simply haven’t been paying attention to the countless arrests of individuals who have been arrested for attempts to illegally enter the United States. Either that, or O’Rourke and other anti-Trump persons simply don’t care. Whichever way it goes, the protest against the president and against effective border security is quite unfortunate.
The Truth about the Upcoming Anti-Trump Protest
If Democrats truly cared about immigrants as they claim to, they would not support unlawful entry into the United States. Illegal immigration is not only harmful to American citizens, but also to legal immigrants who come here by following the laws of the land.
Of course, it’s no secret that Democrats are not truly concerned with the state of affairs for legal immigrants; they simply want an excuse to oppose Trump and gain as much press as possible while doing so. The president’s upcoming rally tonight has given them the perfect opportunity for this.
