By his own admission, billionaire businessman Mike Bloomberg entered the 2020 presidential election because he didn’t believe other Democrat candidates had the capability to beat Trump. While this is true, the same situation applies to Bloomberg. Still, the businessman seems determined to buy his way into winning his party’s nomination with phony, untrue ads.

Now, developments from Washington Examiner confirm that Bloomberg has the attention of the Democrat establishment. As Joe Biden continues to falter, fumble, and stammer at every turn, elites within the Democrat Party are eyeing up Bloomberg as the potential shiny new toy. Rumor has it that the establishment has already written off Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren as too radical to win the nomination or the White House.
Why the Establishment is Eyeing Bloomberg
Apparently, Bloomberg’s “guts” and ability to rise in the polls by spending millions of dollars on disinformation ads has impressed certain Democrats. As a matter of fact, members of the establishment who previously had their sights set on Biden now are questioning whether or not Bloomberg would be the best and most formidable candidate to face off against Trump.
The former vice president has struggled to connect with younger and more liberal voters, despite his favorability amongst the Democrat establishment. Moreover, the Ukraine scandal and countless controversies surrounding Biden’s son, Hunter, haven’t done his campaign any favors. Whether or not the higher-ups within the Democrat Party actually do wind up tossing Biden aside in favor of Bloomberg will only be determined in time.
No Way to the Presidency
If the Democrat establishment does, in fact, decide to throw their backing behind Bloomberg, this will almost undoubtedly get him the nomination; although, it won’t secure the presidency.

No matter how much Democrats are able to pull strings in the primaries, the general election is an entirely different ballgame. America has already seen what happens when an establishment-backed candidate goes toe-to-toe with Donald Trump.
They lose every time and Bloomberg will be no exception to this rule. The left-wing billionaire businessman is free to waste his millions on misinformation ads. This may get him into the good graces of the Democrat elites, but it’ll never take Bloomberg to the United States presidency or foster real, organic support from Americans.
