Virginia Governor Ralph Northam has once again landed in hot water for the content and timing of certain remarks, as reported by Townhall.
The Latest Ralph Northam Controversy
The Virginia governor has found himself at the forefront of controversy following the release of a blackface/KKK yearbook image from his days in medical school, coupled with his supportive statements regarding post-birth “abortions.”
Northam, however, has raised eyebrows once again after sitting down with ‘CBS This Morning’ for an interview on Sunday. Despite the heat surrounding him, the Virginia governor shared his thoughts on the necessary steps to better Virginia.
“I’ve been in some very difficult situations. Life and death situations. Taken care of sick children. Right now Virginia needs someone who can heal. There’s no better person to do that than a doctor.”
Northam moreover articulated the importance of a “strong moral compass” to improve Virginia. Some people might consider that statement to be ironic, considering the heat which Northam is currently facing.
If the Virginia governor truly cares about strong moral compasses and proper values, perhaps he should evidence this. Addressing the blackface/KKK yearbook image from his medical school days and reconsidering his stance on post-birth “abortions” would be a great start.
Will Ralph Northam truly put his money where his mouth is? Probably not, but only time will tell.
