Despite having control of Congress and the Oval Office, the Democrat Party is in the process of crashing and burning.
Their movement to defund police backfired big time. Thanks to leftist mayors actually defunding law enforcement in their communities, murders and other crimes are up in blue cities and blue states across America.
Democrats are also in the middle of pushing divisive and unpopularity policies; their work to pack the Supreme Court, implement critical race theory into schools, and pass a federal elections takeover bill are just some examples.
Meanwhile, the Biden administration is faulting former President Trump and other Republicans for present issues. Amid all of this chaos engendered by Democrats, Fox News confirms that leftists are also terrified of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis running for president in 2024.
The Rise of Anti-DeSantis Attacks
Democrats first directed their rage onto the Florida governor after he pushed back against the precedence of sweeping restrictions from government in the name of stopping COVID.
Florida took a very pro-freedom approach towards mitigating coronavirus; despite all the noise from the left, Florida still wound up with less COVID cases per capita than shutdown dystopias like New York and California.
Today, Florida prevailed in our lawsuit against the unlawful CDC order that shut down the cruise industry. This is a defeat for bureaucratic overreach, and a win for Florida jobs and tourism.https://t.co/5iFOEMpt5s

Democrats are now using the tragedy of a building falling down in Surfside, Florida to attack DeSantis. Last week, Hannah Dreier, a WaPo reporter, spread fake news about DeSantis’ supposedly waiting 24 hours before allowing an emergency response to the collapse in Surfside.
Dreier’s claims were later debunked, however; in truth, the emergency response to the building collapse happened merely minutes after the fall.
This is the first time in Florida’s history that all eight Urban Search and Rescue teams have been deployed, outside of hurricane response efforts. These brave men and women have worked a combined total of over 22,000 hours to continue the search and rescue mission. pic.twitter.com/46ZruVJhxh

As the Florida governor prepares for re-election in the state’s 2022 gubernatorial race, there’s no doubt that this too will inspire more attacks against him. However, DeSantis has made clear multiple times that he’s a fighter who is not backing down.
Is DeSantis Going to Run for President?
Whether or not the Florida governor chooses to run for the White House in 2024 is the million dollar question. Earlier this month, however, DeSantis confirmed that he hasn’t engaged in any conversations about a presidential run; the Florida governor also made clear that dealing with matters in the Sunshine State is where his focus lies.
Received an update from the @FLSERT team and local officials in Surfside earlier today. We are working closely with local and federal officials to ensure that all necessary resources are available. pic.twitter.com/v7cePCOFPp

With that said, DeSantis has not explicitly ruled out the possibility of running for president either. In fact, a straw poll from the Western Conservative Summit earlier this month showed the Florida governor in the number one spot of wanted candidates for the next presidential election; DeSantis’ lead in this poll maintained against even former President Trump by multiple points.
