The Democrat Party has repeatedly chosen to focus on undoing the results of the 2016 presidential election, rather than working to better the lives of the American people.
It’s actually quite sad; Congressional Democrats continue to spit in the faces of individuals who voted for them and ignore issues, such as the opioid crisis, which are very impactful for many people in this country. At this point, it’s very clear that Democrats care more about their hatred for President Trump than they care about love for America.

On Saturday, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy called out the Democrat Party on this matter, as reported by Breitbart News. McCarthy stated that Democrats need to let go of this impeachment inquiry and instead direct their attention towards the opioid crisis in this country.
While some progress has been made regarding opioids, there is still much work to be done and the Democrats are absolutely doing nothing to contribute to solutions.
A Closer Look at McCarthy’s Message to Democrats
Yesterday, McCarthy took to Twitter in order to inform Americans of where things stand on the opioid crisis. It’s important to provide context here; Republicans such as McCarthy and President Trump, have consistently worked to find solutions and lower the number of individuals who find themselves addicted to opioids for various reasons.
This is something that the president has repeatedly spoken out about since his time in the White House.

While the GOP has undoubtedly made progress, there is still so much work to be done. This is why the House Minority Leader urged Democrats to relinquish their fantasies of impeachment and move towards actually making a positive difference in America.
Opioid treatments have increased while the abuse and deaths related to opioids have decreased; however, this is only the beginning of necessary work. McCarthy explained as much yesterday morning via Twitter.
Will Democrats Heed McCarthy’s Message?
As great as it would be for Democrats to drop the impeachment inquiry and focus on real matters of importance, no one should hold their breath on this one. The Democrat Party has lost all sense of reason or logic; their only interests lie in doing whatever they can to avoid having to face President Trump in 2020.

See, Democrats know their presidential candidates aren’t doing well and will lose in a general election against Trump; this explains the timing of the impeachment inquiry and it also explains the repeated attempts to boot the president out of office.
The reality is that Democrats would actually be helping themselves as a party if they followed the House Minority Leader’s advice, but they’re too short-sighted and blinded by Trump Derangement Syndrome in order to realize this.
