The Democrat Party has significantly shifted from where it was ten or even five years ago. Radicalism and going as far to the left as possible are now things that Democrats have chosen to embrace in order to be as polar opposite to President Trump as possible. What the left fails to realize, however, is that contrasting with the president as strongly as possible is not helping their cause.

On Friday, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and first son Donald Trump Jr. spoke with Breitbart News Daily regarding the present condition of the Democrat Party. During this time, both McCarthy and Don Jr. pointed out that Democrats have become full-blown socialists while Republicans grow and welcome in more Americans, according to Breitbart News.

The interview with Breitbart News Daily covered not only the new socialist state of the Democrat Party, but also Republicans, the 2020 election, and the overall horrors of socialism. During Don Jr.’s part of the interview, he noted his experiences with visiting socialist nations as a child and why such things have no business being anywhere near America.
According to the first son, he’s not only seen “breadlines,” but is also frustrated with 2020 Democrats who advocated for socialism while having never experienced it. Don Jr. also pointed out the dishonesty of Democrats who present socialism as this great system, despite its documented and repeated failures.
Shortly thereafter, Kevin McCarthy likewise weighed in with his own thoughts about just how terrible socialism truly is. The House Minority Leader rightly pointed out that while many people do everything they can to escape these regimes, socialist countries never have any problems with people trying to break in.
Finally, McCarthy also pointed out that the 2020 election is ultimately going to boil down to “socialism vs. freedom” and the successful record of the president.
Socialism vs. Freedom
Socialism and freedom are polar opposites and cannot exist in harmony with one another. Despite Democrats’ attempts to beat around the bush and present socialism as something other than what it is, Republicans and applicable allies will continue to combat socialism.

Small government, individual liberty, and freedom are not evil, despite what the left might think. As Donald Trump Jr. pointed out, the left’s tendency to advocate for a socialist nation while never having experienced or lived under one speaks volumes. At this point, Democrats are obsessed with being as polar opposite to Trump as possible, rather than working for the best interests of the American people.
