Everyone is aware of John Kerry’s role as Joe Biden’s sort of climate czar, but few are aware of the fact he’s been holding private discussions with China.
Do you want to understand what he has been chatting with them about? House Oversight Committee Republicans want to know. Already, the Biden administration appears too cozy with China. This only strengthens that perception.
Rep. James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, is examining climate negotiations between Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry and China in greater detail.
Kerry engages in negotiations, despite not having received Senate confirmation. While this is not illegal, it appears a great deal of responsibility is being placed on those who engage in international climate negotiations and set policy.

Comer stated to Fox News Digital that, despite numerous requests, the Biden team withheld details regarding Kerry’s function within the administration for the past two years.
Senate confirmation was denied. He is not responsible before the American people. This disregard for congressional oversight is unacceptable. What is John Kerry attempting to negotiate? Nobody outside of the White House is certain.
Comer added that Kerry’s rumored forthcoming climate negotiations with the Chinese, something he has done on numerous occasions, are inappropriate and could jeopardize U.S. interests and energy security.
The committee will scrutinize Kerry’s continued participation in dubious negotiations closely.

The leading Republican lawmaker added that the committee sent a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken last week, regarding Kerry’s position as special envoy at the State Department.
Comer stated he anticipates “nothing less than full cooperation” from the agency.
In February, Comer announced that the Oversight Committee would investigate Kerry’s covert climate negotiations with Chinese diplomats. Republicans should compel Kerry to testify before Congress and answer queries live on television. This article appeared in The Political Globe and has been published here with permission.
