ICE Was Forced to Use Tear Gas on Another Load of Caravan Riders

With the New Year upon us, most people are aware of the multilayered immigration crisis which America is currently experiencing.
According to Townhall, the crisis reared its ugly head earlier this week on New Year’s Eve; a variety of Central American migrants yet again attempted to sneak across the United States Southern border. This prompted Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials to release tear gas in order to prevent illegal entry into this country.

A Closer Look at What Happened on New Year’s Eve

Contrary to the liberal media’s assertions, many people who attempt to unlawfully enter America are not simply good people. On Monday, the migrants launched physical assaults against various members of law enforcement who patrol the border. Of course, in light of the necessity to maintain order and halt illegal entry, ICE officials had no choice other than to act in the best interests of the country.
Katie Waldman, a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security, issued a statement about the situation which occurred on Monday night. Some excerpts from the aforementioned statement read as follows:

“We have had a violent mob of migrants attempt to enter the United States illegally by attacking our agents with projectiles.  As has happened before – in this and previous administrations – our personnel used the minimum force necessary to defend themselves, defend our border, and restore order.”

Waldman’s statement also touched upon the importance of building a border wall.

“Congress continues ignore the professional advice from the men and women of the Border Patrol who have told them that walls work. Congress needs to fully fund the border wall, amend the TVPRA, and end the Flores Settlement Agreement that encourages and rewards this type of lawlessness by migrants at the border.”

At least 25 migrants who attempted to illegally enter the country were detained on Monday.
