Hulu Rejects Show Pitch Based on Hillary Clinton

Streaming services like Hulu, PeacockTV, HBOMax, and others are all the rage these days. Many people subscribe to these services in the spirit of keeping up with their favorite TV shows and movies.

As content providers, streaming services are often encouraged to come up with content of their own as well. This is seen with Hulu Originals, Netflix Originals, and other movies and series that can only be found explicitly on the platforms.

Sometimes, streaming services are pitched various ideas for different originals. However, they have the choice to accept or reject certain proposals.

In the case of a new Hillary Clinton-based series, Hulu has opted to decline, as documented by PJ Media.

A Hard Pass From Hulu

“Rodham” is a television show based on Hillary Clinton.

In essence, the plot covers what would have been if Clinton won the 2016 presidential election, never married Bill Clinton, and otherwise faced world scandals that are similar to today.

Hulu had the opportunity to create this series, yet decided against it. Meanwhile, “Rodham” will retain its presence with 20th Century Television.

It’s also worth noting that in “Rodham,” world events see some significant changes. For instance, John McCain ends up being the winner of the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections.

On top of this, in the alternative universe series, the United States manages to dodge the 9/11 attacks altogether.

A Sign of the Times

Despite the existence of “Rodham,” many Americans today aren’t so thrilled with the real-life version of Hillary Clinton.

The twice unsuccessful presidential contender has made headlines on multiple occasions for chastising the American public.

Apparently, Clinton is taken aback by the reality that most Americans aren’t unhappy with Joe Biden’s leadership.

Clinton admonished people for not being “grateful” enough to Biden; meanwhile, parents can’t find any baby formula and inflation keeps getting worse.

That’s not to mention the gloomy forecasts of a 2023 recession or the fact that crime, drug trafficking, human smuggling, and other serious problems are running wild at the southern border.

Much of the nation would like to move on from Hillary Clinton and the Clinton family in general. There are many other politicians who have made their mark on US politics or who are in the process of doing so.

Perhaps Hulu is able to see this for itself, hence why it turned down the opportunity for “Rodham.”

In the meantime, rumors continue to persist that Hillary Clinton may make another run for the White House in 2024.

What do you think about Hulu turning down the chance to create the series known as “Rodham?” Do you think another streaming service like HBO Max, Netflix, or AppleTV might pick it up?

We’re like to know how you think this will play out in the comments area.
