Americans are eager to learn which female Democrat Joe Biden will select as his running mate. Back in March, the presumptive Democrat nominee committed to selecting a woman to run with him on the 2020 ticket against President Trump. Since this time, many people have speculated about which woman Biden will ultimately choose.
Many high-profile names including Gretchen Whitmer, Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar, and others have come up. Biden himself has steered away from mentioning specific names; however, he maintains that many women and women of color are being considered for the position.
With that in mind, Biden’s decision to remain ambiguous about this matter doesn’t mean that others in politics are following suit. Yesterday, South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham (R) stated that Biden will likely select Senator Kamala Harris (D) as his running mate, according to Washington Examiner.
The Likelihood of a Biden-Harris 2020 Ticket
The Republican senator’s prediction of Biden’s future running mate occurred during an appearance on a radio show by Hugh Hewitt. Graham stated that the former vice president is “doing well” by campaigning from his basement and possesses milder manners than Hillary Clinton.
After then declaring that Biden’s policies are less out-there than those of Bernie Sanders, Graham predicted that the presumptive Democrat nominee will turn to Harris as a running mate. The GOP senator also stated that despite his political disagreements with Harris, she is a “smart” and “hard-nosed” person who could help Biden in a general election.

Talk about Harris potentially being Biden’s running mate arrives at an interesting time. The former vice president currently remains under a microscope from black Democrats who are eager for him to select a black female running mate.
Thus far, Biden has not yet confirmed that he will select Harris to run with him in the 2020 general election.
