Founder of DeSantis PAC Warns Trump Can’t Win in 2024

Despite declaring his candidacy for the 2024 presidential election earlier this month, things are quickly going awry for former President Trump.

As it turns out, much of the nation, including considerable Republicans, are turned off by the various antics and scandals the former president keeps getting tied up in.

During the midterms, Trump selected, endorsed, and backed candidates who mostly went down in flames during their general elections. Then, Trump dined with Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes and anti-Semite Kanye West at his Mar-a-Lago residence.

Because of these factors and several others, many Republicans are looking for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to be the 2024 GOP nominee, rather than Trump. A founder of a DeSantis PAC is now providing some insight into this support, according to Washington Examiner.

Straight From the Horse’s Mouth

Ron to the Rescue founder John Thomas is looking to raise and spend a minimum of $50 million between current times and the time during which DeSantis would hypothetically announce a presidential run.

While Ron to the Rescue is not directly tied to the Florida governor or his legal team, the PAC is designed to do the groundwork for DeSantis and get momentum going behind him ahead of time.

Thomas also expressed that while he does like Trump, he likes victories even more. Hence, it is Thomas’ view that DeSantis, not Trump, is in the best position to score a win for Republicans in 2024.

The Ron to the Rescue founder likewise revealed the PAC has already been getting donations from folks who organically discovered its existence.

Meanwhile, multiple polls show that DeSantis is either tying with/leading Trump amongst GOP voters or quickly narrowing Trump’s lead.

More From Ron to the Rescue

Between polls and the current consensus in conservative politics these days, DeSantis poses the greatest threat to Trump getting the 2024 GOP nomination. Trump realizes this, which is why he’s been making unprovoked attacks against DeSantis.

Meanwhile, the Florida governor is tactily keeping his powder dry. When asked about Trump’s attacks, DeSantis claimed it’s all just noise that comes along with being a leader and getting things done.

Thomas has gone on record, confirming Ron to the Rescue will defend the Florida governor against Trump’s barbs, put out pro-DeSantis ads, help build coalitions for him in all 50 states, and then hand over things to DeSantis’ campaign, should he declare his candidacy.

Other DeSantis PACs, such as Ready For Ron, have also emerged this year.
