The 2024 presidential election is expected to comprise a large tent of candidates. Right now, there’s been far more action on the GOP side, as Democrats seemingly wait to learn whether or not Joe Biden has plans to throw his hat in the ring again.
Right now, it’s still pretty early.
There are also speculations that within the next month or so, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis may decide to campaign in the 2024 presidential election. Within the past year, support for DeSantis to make a run for the White House has drastically picked up.
In the meantime, Asa Hutchinson, the former Republican governor of Arkansas, just announced his intentions to run for the GOP 2024 nomination, according to the Daily Mail.
What to Know About Hutchinson’s Presidential Run
This past weekend, the former governor of Arkansas sat down with ABC News and declared his candidacy in the 2024 presidential election. Hutchinson has likewise opined that Republicans would do well to distance themselves from former President Trump, especially in the wake of Trump being indicted.
During his interview, Hutchinson expressed his view that Americans want leadership which appeals to their best instincts, rather than their worst instincts.

In other remarks, the former Arkansas governor touted his work in public service and ability to tackle challenges as reasons why he ought to be president of the United States.

News of Hutchinson’s presidential announcement already has Democrats coming out of the woodwork to attack him. The left-wing narrative here largely involves portraying Hutchinson as radical and out of touch with most voters.

There’s been some Republican support for him. However, others within the party don’t believe Hutchinson has a legitimate shot of winning the GOP nomination.
Later this month in Bentonville, Hutchinson is expected to host a formal event to declare himself as a 2024 presidential candidate.
