Florida’s Ron DeSantis Remains Well Ahead of Left-wing Challengers

The state of Florida has been catching nationwide attention for the past two years. This is mainly because Florida stood up against the push for draconian mandates and endless restrictions.

Republican Governor Ron DeSantis made it clear he would protect Floridians’ livelihoods, freedoms, and rights, regardless of what Democrats or medical bureaucrats had to say about it.

This incurred the rage of the left; however, time has shown that when it comes to COVID, Florida’s case rates, economy, and more did much better than blue states with Democrat governors.

This year, DeSantis is up for re-election in Florida. According to Fox News, the Republican governor is still remaining well ahead of the Democrats running for his job.

Good News For Florida

Florida Democrats running for the state’s governorship are well behind DeSantis in both the polls and in fundraising.

The GOP governor raised close to $10.5 million, just in April 2022 alone. Collectively, this means that DeSantis’ war chest has now reached $113 million.

Florida Democrats like Nikki Fried and Charlie Crist are repeatedly taking shots at DeSantis. Yet, DeSantis has outraised both of them combined.

It seems that if DeSantis were really everything that Democrats in his state claim, they’d be the ones with the $113 million war chests, rather than him.

With significant campaign funds at his disposal, the Florida governor is in the position to easily secure his re-election. Another benefit trending in DeSantis’ favor is that Florida now has over 100,000 more registered GOP voters than Democrat voters.

This was not the case when DeSantis won the race for Florida’s governorship back in 2018.

Good News For America

What’s happening in Florida is rippling out and impacting the nation at large. It’s certainly caught the attention of the Biden administration, which is furious about DeSantis not bending to left-wing attacks and pressure.

Meanwhile, as Florida solidifies its reputation as a state of freedom, many Americans are moving there and abandoning states like California.

As a matter of fact, the number of people who moved to Florida just in 2021 alone played a huge role in the state gaining more Republican voters than Democrats.

Several counties in Florida also flipped from blue to red, due to new residents. Florida’s economy and quality of life ultimately speak for themselves.

This is ultimately a huge reason why so many residents in the state are eager to vote DeSantis into a second term. Democrats in Florida who want to flip the state blue are going to be in for a real disappointment, come this November.
