Florida Takes Action to Increase Security at the Southern Border

The situation at the southern border has always been in dire straits, ever since Joe Biden took over running things. However, the situation has escalated in the wake of the president going through with his plan to end Title 42.

Biden did this without having any real plan to keep the floodgates from opening. The end results of this entail mass swarms of migrants arriving at the southern border, hoping they’ll be granted entry.

To make matters even worse, the United States came this close to having an Afghan national who is flagged as a terror threat enter the country.

Due to the president’s reckless border policies, states like Texas truly have their work cut out for them. However, Florida is going to be helping out the Lone Star State, as reported by the Tampa Free Press.

Florida to the Rescue

This week, Gov. DeSantis of Florida confirmed that his state will be deploying various aid tools to help Texas manage the heightened flow of migrants. These aid tools include, but are not restricted to, the Florida National Guard, planes, boats, and other agencies at the state level.

DeSantis also went on the record to say that Florida isn’t going to be complicit in looking the other way on illegal immigration, as the Biden administration has chosen to do.

In Texas’ previous struggles with illegal immigration under the Biden administration, Florida has also consistently come to offer support.

All Hands on Deck

At this time, border states such as Arizona and Texas are going to require all the support they can get when it comes to dealing with illegal immigration.

Right now, Biden still isn’t being truthful about the southern border. He’s speaking as though all is well and there’s nothing serious going on. In reality, however, this couldn’t be more removed from the truth.

Since the federal government is not going to step in and do its job, states will have to act accordingly.
