Florida Governor Delivers Impassioned Speech to Key GOP Group

This week, Ron DeSantis, the GOP governor of Florida, traveled to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to speak before the Allegheny County Republican Party. The governor’s speech arrived during the Allegheny County’s Lincoln Day Dinner that takes place each year.

DeSantis’ profile within the Republican Party has risen massively over the past year. Many Republicans across the nation are pleased with how he’s governed the state of Florida; this governance entails doing away with mask mandates, taking swift action against vaccine passport programs, and putting the individual above government control.

Hundreds of Americans per day are moving to the state of Florida; moreover, this trend is expected to continue throughout the next several years. If DeSantis’ speech this week is any indication, he won’t be going anywhere anytime soon, Breitbart News confirms.

DeSantis to the Allegheny County GOP

When the Florida governor addressed the Pittsburgh crowd, he was clear and to the point. DeSantis declared that states that are still shut down and under the thumb of big government must change this.

The Florida governor made clear that the best ways for these states to enact change entail opening schools, enabling citizens to thrive, ending mask requirements, and lifting restrictions against businesses.

DeSantis later maintained that as the GOP governor of Florida, he has only just commenced fighting. He then cautioned against the Republican Party returning to its dreaded establishment days before telling conservatives not to seek approval from those who loathe the right.

Instead, DeSantis proclaimed that Republicans must stay strong, hold the line, and refuse to bow to the radical left.

The Future of the Republican Party

DeSantis speech to the Allegheny County Republican Party very much solidified his status as the future of the GOP. The conservative movement needs strong leaders in the party who are willing to resist government control, uphold individual liberties, and put America First.

Time and time again, the Florida governor has shown that these measures are what he’s all about. DeSantis speech this week in Pennsylvania once again led to speculations about whether or not he will seek the White House in the 2024 presidential election.

The Florida governor has not committed to or against a White House run; however, he is high up in the polls of candidates Republicans would back in the 2024 race. After former President Trump, DeSantis is the most popular prospect for the GOP nomination. He beats out Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, and a host of other well-known Republicans.

As time passes, the American public can expect to hear much more from and about the Florida governor.
