As Democrats gear up to take on President Trump in the 2020 election, it looks like they have some issues within their own party that they’ll need to deal with, according to <a href=”https://dailycaller.com/2019/02/01/pennsylvania-ibew-john-dougherty/”>The Daily Caller News Foundation</a>.
<h2>A Closer Look at Issues Amongst the Democrats</h2>
John Dougherty, a Philadephia labor leader and the business manager of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Philadephia branch, is currently facing a slew of legal issues which may turn out to be problematic for the Democrats. At this time, Dougherty is bearing charges of theft, embezzlement, and bribery. He previously served as significantly useful to the Democrats, although that may all be changing.
There is a good chance that Dougherty will face convictions for the crimes which he is currently accused of. If so, he will no longer serve as a force to fuel Pennsylvania’s political machine. This could hurt Pennsylvania Democrats as they work to connect with voters and garner support for their candidates, while working against their political opponents.
<h2>Corruption within the Democrat Party</h2>
Virtually everytime one turns around, there is a story or news report of a Democrat facing various legal battles. However, if you let the Democrats tell it, President Trump and Republicans are the ones with the issues. Perhaps the left-wing would do well to vet and verify the legality of the people who are working for them instead of ongoingly demonizing their political adversaries. Only time will tell the fate of John Dougherty.
