Democrats never cease to astound Americans with their atrocious and downright outrageous policies. Sticking by their usual, unfortunate pattern, one of their newest goals involves replacing the Subcommittee on Terrorism with a subcommittee whose sole purpose would involve the probe of President Trump; Townhall reports.
The End of the Subcommittee on Terrorism?
The latest prospective move comes from Rep. Eliot Engel, the new House Foreign Affairs Committees chairman. Engel provided the following public statements about his desired initiative:
“We just thought, if we’re going to do something relevant in this era where Congress is going to reassert itself, where there are so many questionable activities of thie Administration vis-a-vis foreign policy, that it made sense to have this.”
“It made sense to have this.” Wow. Democrats have truly lost their minds. If Engel had his way, he would be doing away with the Terrorism Subcommittee and using the new subcommittee to largely look into whether or not President Trump colluded with Russia.
Perhaps Engel isn’t aware, but Mueller’s ongoing Russia probe is already investigating that matter. What’s more is that Mueller’s investigation has been ongoing for nearly two years now and he has yet to produce a shred of evidence that Trump or his associates colluded with the Russian government in order to win the 2016 presidential election.
The Bottom Line
At this point, Democrats are just grasping at straws; they are frantic and desperate to look for anything. In addition to launching an additional probe into alleged Russian collusion, Engel also wants to invest Trump’s international businesses and learn more of the conversation between Trump and Putin during last year’s Helsinki summit.
This is Trump Derangement Syndrome at its finest. Apparently, making that last-ditch attempt to take down Trump is more important than upholding organizations which are designed to shield Americans from ISIS and additional terrorists who mean to do us harm.
Do you think Rep. Eliot Engel is right or wrong in his goal to replace the Terrorism Subcommittee with an organization whose sole purpose would involve investigating the president’s foreign business dealings, talks with Putin, and the 2016 election? Sound off in the comments section below!
