The Republican Party isn’t wasting any time when it comes to preparing for the 2024 presidential election. It’s not as far away as some people might think; moreover, the work to ensure that Biden is a one-term president (and that Harris doesn’t become president after the 2024 election) requires preparation and strategy.

Already, names of possible Republican candidates have come up. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is gaining popularity amongst conservatives for his state leadership and tussles with the current president. Other names like Mike Pence, Kristi Noem, Nikki Haley, etc., have come up on lists as well.

However, there is always the possibility that Donald Trump could seek another term in the 2024 presidential election. Earlier this week, the 45th president hinted that he may run for office again, come the next election, Breitbart News documents.

Trump 2024: Everything You Need to Know

On Wednesday, Trump spoke with NewsmaxTV, following reports that conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh passed away. The former president lauded Limbaugh, noting the positive impacts that he has on conservatism in media and beyond.

After paying homage to the recently deceased Limbaugh, Trump discussed his acquittal in last week’s impeachment trial and the possibility of him running for president again. The former commander-in-chief explained that “tremendous support” exists for a 2024 candidacy; however, Trump also didn’t confirm that he will or will not seek the presidency again.

The former president then informed NewsmaxTV that the support for putting America first and making America great again is quite strong. Trump furthermore pointed out that his poll numbers have actually surged since becoming the only U.S. president to be twice acquitted.

The Current U.S. President

Whether or not Donald Trump, Ron DeSantis, or someone else entirely runs for president in 2024 remains to be seen. However, between then and now, Americans are stuck with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

Thus far, Biden’s presidency has shown where his loyalty and priorities lie. The Democrat president puts radical environmentalists over blue-collar workers and leftist teachers’ unions over the health and development of children.

Republicans and Democrats alike are calling on Biden to reopen schools and reverse his complete shutdown of Keystone Pipeline. The 46th president has yet to take either one of these steps. Therefore, the actions of the current president will undoubtedly play a role in the 2024 presidential election and in next year’s midterm races.
