Democrats Spar Over Realistic Future of Their Party

Americans are rapidly growing to view the Democrat Party as an extremist party. From policies like defunding the police, ending cash bail, opening up prisons, ending private healthcare, etc., radical is an understatement.

Despite the surging extremism in the Democrat Party, it isn’t without its moderates. As of late, the moderates are clashing with their “progressive” and Marxist counterparts about the appropriate direction of the collective party.
This is very much the case with a recent spat between West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin (D) and New York House Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D), as reported by Breitbart News.

Moderates vs. Marxists in the Democrat Party

During a Fox & Friends interview, Sen. Manchin stated that he “differs” from and “disagrees” with Rep. Ocasio-Cortez and her policies. The West Virginia Democrat then went on to say that defunding the police isn’t something that’s going to happen; he then noted the extensive unpopularity of such a policy.

Manchin’s remarks on Fox & Friends arrived after Ocasio-Cortez pushed back against claims that she’s more active in her tweets than in other areas.
Before his interview came to a close, the West Virginia senator declared that Americans don’t operate their lives from places of extremism; Manchin also made a point of noting that congressional support, rather than a large Twitter following, is what gets legislation passed.

Who’s Leading the Democrat Party?

Republicans have repeatedly asserted that Marxists and socialists are progressively taking over the Democrat Party. These assertions follow left-wing policies backed by Democrats and their affinity for indefinite shutdowns and other draconian edicts that infringe upon freedoms and constitutional rights.
It appears likely that power struggles will continue in the Democrat Party for quite some time. The moderates want to rein in the Marxists and socialists while the Marxists and socialists want to pull the moderates further and further to the left.

When Democrats run for office, the ones who get the most attention are generally the radicals, socialists, and Marxists. Look no further than Georgia Democrat Jon Ossoff who supports defunding the police or fellow Democrat Raphael Warnock who is on record calling to open up prisons.
