The Democrat Party is in a very bad place right now. Since gaining power in Congress and the White House, Democrats have chosen to align themselves with radical policies and disregard Republicans with concerns or disagreements.
As it turns out, however, the Biden agenda isn’t doing so well. Over the weekend, Sen. Joe Manchin (a West Virginia Democrat) stated that he will not support his party’s work to pass For the People Act; Manchin acknowledged that For the People Act lacks bipartisan support and heavily leans to benefit the left.
Many Democrats are panicking…and Manchin’s remarks over the weekend are not the only reason why. As Newsmax reports, Democrats are concerned about the implications stemming from their likely failure to pass Biden’s agenda.
Bad News for the Radical Left
At this time, the Democrat Party does not have the votes to get For the People Act through the Senate; the filibuster doesn’t even matter in this case because Democrats don’t have 50 Senate votes in support of H.R. 1.
When will @VP Kamala Harris visit the border?

👉 “I’m not going to play political games” (April 25)

The massive spending bill that Biden has labeled as “infrastructure” is also another factor. President Biden and Vice President Harris have met with GOP lawmakers several times; however, Democrats haven’t managed to come to an agreement with Republicans. Thus far, the GOP maintains that Democrats must slash their spending and plans to raise taxes.
Rep. Ro Khanna admits that Democrats are in a state of “anxiety” right now. Meanwhile, Rep. Pramila Jayapal maintains that many Democrats are disappointed and fearful of losing a “generation” of American voters if they fail to deliver on their grand promises.
I’m working hard to find common ground with Republicans when it comes to the American Jobs Plan, but I refuse to raise taxes on Americans making under $400,000 a year to pay for it.
It’s long past time the wealthy and corporations pay their fair share.

Several Democrats in the House and Senate have called to end the filibuster; however, Democrats don’t have the votes to do this either. Democrat Sens. Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin have stated that they will not support ending the filibuster.
No Viable Path Forward
Many political strategists have indicated that the Biden White House is gradually losing steam. Democrats’ failure to win over the moderates in their party is not doing them any favors; moreover, since Democrats have chosen to cast GOP votes aside, they literally have not a single vote to spare.
Education was my key to opportunity, and I’m committed to ensuring all Arizona students have the same access to higher education that I did. Our bipartisan Earn to Learn Act reduces student loan debt and makes college more affordable. pic.twitter.com/sXK5V47ZDZ

Amid all this tension on the left, the Democrat Party is widely expected to lose majority control in the House of Representatives. A GOP in control of one or both chambers in Congress will significantly bring back balance and ensure that Democrats cannot pass any bills on party votes alone.
