As various Democrats enter the 2020 presidential election, it’s interesting to see where left-wing voters stand and which candidates they most favor as their nominee.
According to a poll conducted by the Morning Consult, Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders are beating out the rest of prospective Democrats who wish to take on President Trump.
Reviewing the Lead of Biden and Sanders
Results from the aforementioned poll show that 40% of Democrat voters wish for Biden to serve as their party’s nominee. Another 19% of polled Democrats favor Sanders instead of Biden. Virtually all of the other candidates within the Democrat Party are trailing behind and barely making it.
However, this changes slightly when Democrat voters are able to pick their second choice for a prospective nominee. 25% chose Kamala Harris as their second choice, while 31% picked Pete Buttigieg. Many Democrat voters who didn’t pick Biden or Sanders as their first choice in a potential nominee chose them as a second choice.
It will be interesting to see whether or not more Democrats toss their hats into the ring and gear up to potentially run against President Trump in the 2020 election.
The Democrat Nominee and the 2020 Election
Regardless of who the Democrats choose to represent their party, they’re going to have quite a battle waiting for them. The fact of the matter is that extremism and radicalism have become the new ways of the Democrats. This may cause one of the candidates to win a nomination, but it won’t take them to the White House or win them a victory over President Trump.
Americans want jobs, a thriving economy and the chance for upward mobility. Americans also want to live in a country which is shielded by a strong military and enforced immigration laws. This is only a fraction of the greatness that President Trump is offering.
Conversely, Democrats want socialism, open border, sky-high taxes to pay for big government proposals, etc. This does not align with the values of the American people. The left wing has become so consumed by Trump Derangement Syndrome that they think going as far left as possible is the best way to “resist” the president.
This is precisely why they’re going to spend another four years wondering why President Trump beat their nominee…again.
