Comey Rips Into AG Barr: "Trump has Enough Spokespeople!"

Former FBI director James Comey isn’t concealing his thoughts about Attorney General William Barr.
On Friday, Comey took to Twitter, accusing Barr of “sliming” the Justice Department and claiming that the attorney general is just another spokesperson for President Trump.

The attorney general of the United States is facing notable backlash from various critics of President Trump. This backlash has intensified since Barr called for investigations into what prompted the Russia investigation. Barr has furthermore maintained that the government employed various measures to spy on the American people.
Apparently, none of that sat very well with Comey, as seen within the following tweet:


It’s important to remember that Comey is in no position of having any moral high ground whatsoever. President Trump fired him a little over two years ago, due to Comey’s mismanagement of the FBI.

More on Attorney General William Barr

Barr has indicated that he will be launching investigations into events which took place between the time President Trump was elected and the time he was inaugurated. The attorney general has furthermore expressed concerns regarding the anti-Trump dossier and other political moves which were taken against Trump shortly after he was elected to office.
In Barr’s own words:

“It’s a very unusual situation to have opposition research like that, especially one that, on its face, had a number of clear mistakes and in a somewhat jejune analysis. To use that, take it to conduct counterintelligence against an American political campaign is a strange — would be a strange development.”

Many of the attorney general’s critics have furthermore accused him of acting as if he is Donald Trump’s personal legal counsel.
