Chuck Todd Questions Republicans' Loyalty to America

As the impeachment inquiry plays out, Americans across the country are having conversations about loyalty and where the loyalty of various groups lies. Now, Democrats will claim that their impeachment sham is about loyalty to the nation, but everyone knows that’s a lie. The nation elected President Trump to serve in the White House; yet, Democrats are trying to rewrite the outcome of the 2016 election.

It’s no secret that Republicans are not on board with the left’s attempt to overthrow a rightfully elected president; as such, the GOP has taken heat from Democrats who want to push a narrative that impeachment proceedings are about the good of the country.

On Wednesday, NBC moderator Chuck Todd admonished the GOP, stating that members of the party are blindly loyal to President Trump, rather than being loyal to America. Breitbart News furthermore reports that Todd went on to make the case that Republicans shouldn’t be defending the president from biased impeachment proceedings.

Reviewing Todd’s Statements on Impeachment, Trump, and Republicans

The NBC moderator took aim at Republicans for “not accepting the premise” of the impeachment proceedings. According to Todd, the GOP’s refusal to simply get on board with the sham and back Democrats’ in their baseless efforts to remove Trump equates to Republicans placing more loyalty within a “person” and a “party” than to America.

Shortly thereafter, Todd challenged the White House for stating that President Trump has ceased to pay any more attention to the impeachment inquiry. The moderator also claimed that the president was, in fact, paying attention to proceedings and tweeting about them “every ten minutes.”

Throughout his various criticisms of President Trump and the Republican Party, Todd declined to mention a matter of great importance. On multiple occasions, Democrats have admitted that they feel President Trump will win a second term in office if he’s not impeached. The left continues throwing everything they have into this inquiry because they know they can’t win over voters.

It’s not by mistake that Todd didn’t mention this.

Loyalty to the Country

“Country over party” is a talking point which Democrats have used to ongoingly defend their coordinated impeachment coup. However, these proceedings are all about party and politics; they’re about Democrats doing whatever they feel is necessary to preserve their shot at maintaining and expanding their power in government.

President Trump is and has been a threat to the Democrats’ power. While many on the left know that their impeachment inquiry is going nowhere, they’re going to stick with it because none of their 2020 candidates stand a chance of defeating Trump in a general election.
