As the partisan impeachment sham continues, the Democrat Party is facing well-deserved backlash like never before. Since President Trump’s time in office, Democrats have made their interest in removing him quite clear. The phone call which Trump had with Zelensky earlier this year is merely the latest thing which Democrats are asserting as an impeachable offense; prior to this phone call, the left claimed the Mueller report as grounds to boot Trump from office.
Congressional votes which took place this week have shown that the vast majority of the Democrat Party is on board with impeachment. When the impeachment resolution passed, only two Democrats voted against it. Similar dynamics exist within the field of 2020 Democrats.

Per reports from the Washington Examiner, Democrat candidate Pete Buttigieg has expressed certain reservations about impeachment. Instead, Buttigieg maintains that the best way to defeat President Trump is at the ballot box in 2020.
A Closer Look at Buttigieg’s Stance on Trump and Impeachment
On Thursday, the South Bend mayor and 2020 Democrat sat down for an interview with The Boston Globe. During this period, Buttigieg shared his stance on impeachment, a stance which somewhat clashes with many of his in-party rivals who are more than eager for the president to be impeached.
Buttigieg ultimately made the case that defeating Trump in a general election is a much better strategy for Democrats than attempting to force impeachment to happen.
When speaking with The Boston Globe, Buttigieg directly declared that “a resounding, thumping defeat at the ballot box” would be beneficial to “Trump and Trumpism.” The South Bend mayor then pointed out the role which Senate Republicans will inevitably play in the process of impeachment.
Why Democrats Can’t “Defeat” Trump at the Ballot Box
Despite Buttigieg’s aforementioned remarks, Democrats are incapable of defeating President Trump at the ballot box. What’s more is that Democrats KNOW they can’t beat this president in the 2020 election; this is why they remain so steadfastly committed to impeaching Trump at all costs.

Left-wingers have already come out and openly admitted their fear of a second Trump term if impeachment fails. Of course, impeachment is bound to fail because Trump has done absolutely nothing wrong. Furthermore, the Senate will certainly acquit Trump, even if Democrats manage to get the votes in the House.
The Democrat Party’s embrace of radical, far-left policies has done nothing more than ensure their own demise. As a result, 2020 will leave Democrats scratching their heads yet again and wondering why they failed to defeat President Trump for the second time in a row.
