Anti-gun sentiment will never prevail in America. This is something that Democrats continue to learn the hard way time and time again.
During the Super Bowl, billionaire businessman turned 2020 Democrat Mike Bloomberg ran a bunch of campaign ads. In these ads, Bloomberg not only asserts himself as the best candidate to become president, but he also spews a lot of anti-gun sentiment.
The Super Bowl ads aren’t the first time that Bloomberg has targeted the Second Amendment though, not by a longshot. Bloomberg is on record professing that Americans who wish to keep guns in their homes are “stupid.” Moreover, the 2020 Democrat criticized Jack Wilson, the man who stopped a church shooter by executing him with a gun of his own.
Bloomberg doesn’t think much of the Second Amendment or Americans who cherish this amendment and it shows. However, the anti-gun ads that he chose to air during the Super Bowl backfired big time, as documented by Breitbart News. As a matter of fact, Bloomberg’s ads were so awful that even some folks on the left didn’t have positive feedback for the gun-hating 2020 candidate.
Why America Hated Bloomberg’s Anti-Gun Ads
Bloomberg wasted $10 million dollars on Second Amendment-hating ads which only hurt his candidacy to become president.
In addition to spewing anti-gun narratives, Bloomberg lied about the number of deaths engendered by “gun violence.” If you took the 2020 Democrat’s ads at face value, you would believe that guns claim the lives of “2,900” children on an annual basis. However, simple research would disprove this narrative; in actuality, roughly 50% of the “2,900” gun-caused deaths includes adults.
In the wake of Bloomberg’s outright lies and flagrant disregard for the Second Amendment, the National Rifle Association (NRA) did not allow the Democrat’s Super Bowl ads to go unchecked. The gun-rights organization responded to Bloomberg in a video of their own. This video showed various members of the NRA explaining how guns keep Americans alive and allow families across the nation to protect their loved ones.

Criticism from the Left-Wing
At this point in America, it’s pretty much a given that conservatives and other right-wingers will always defend the Second Amendment. However, Bloomberg’s Super Bowl ad didn’t sit well with a leading Democrat strategist. While this strategist is not linked to any of the 2020 candidates’ campaigns, they did share their disapproval of the Bloomberg ad with Breitbart News.
The Democrat strategist censured Bloomberg for behaving as if he’s the “only one doing something” on the issue of “gun violence.” Furthermore, the left-wing strategist stated that grieving mothers and others who have expressed problems with guns precede Bloomberg’s choices to purchase television ads and “[call] himself the leader of a movement.”
