2020 Democrat Mike Bloomberg has chosen to run his campaign for the presidency in a much different manner from that of his rivals.

Firstly, the former New York City mayor entered the race significantly later than other contenders; moreover, Bloomberg is self-funding his presidential run, thus able to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on getting his disinformation ads on YouTube, TV, streaming services, etc.

Over the past few weeks, the vast majority of Democrat candidates have focused their energies on time in Iowa and New Hampshire. However, Bloomberg adopted a different strategy; rather than focus on the aforementioned states, the billionaire businessman has instead concentrated on winning the black vote in states like Alabama, North Carolina, and Tennesse, as documented by Breitbart News.

Behind Bloomberg’s Interest in Winning the Black Vote

Winning the Democrat nomination is a virtual impossibility without the support of black Democrats. Therefore, Bloomberg is expending as much time, energy, and money as possible in Southern states where he can pick up the black vote. Throughout Bloomberg’s fake news ads, he’s regularly used black voters as pawns in order to further his gun control agenda.

The former mayor’s interest in winning the black vote furthermore shares ties to the possibility of him putting Biden out of the 2020 race for good. The former vice president did terribly in both Iowa and New Hampshire, thus engendering further doubts about whether he has what it takes to go toe-to-toe with Trump in the general election.

Meanwhile, reports in recent weeks have indicated that establishment Democrats are eyeing Bloomberg as the potential new shiny toy if Biden continues to falter and fall short.

Mike Will Get It Done?

Throughout Bloomberg’s presidential campaign, he’s consistently worked to paint himself as an electable and strong contender for the Oval Office. As he spends millions of dollars on deceptive ads, the billionaire businessman continues his own strategies to win the Democrat Party’s nomination.

Despite Bloomberg’s disinformation ads and vigorous campaigning for the black vote, resurfaced statements from his time as New York City’s mayor may, in fact, derail him. The businessman is on record making some very interesting declarations about not only stop-and-frisk, but also crime rates in minority communities. Only time will tell how these resurfaced remarks impact Bloomberg’s ability to win the black vote.
