Time and time again, Democrats have told the American people that they can make healthcare better, more affordable and accessible to all. These are lies; whenever Democrats get their hands on healthcare, government gets stronger, the quality of care gets poorer, and Americans are actually all the worse off for it.
As the 2020 presidential election continues to play out, healthcare is a major issues. Each of the Democrats are convinced that they have the solution for better healthcare, whether it’s Medicare-for-All or an extension of Obamacare.
Frontrunner Joe Biden just so happens to fall into the latter camp. While Biden is not supportive of Medicare-for-All, he does maintain that continuing a healthcare policy using the Obamacare blueprint will benefit Americans, according to Breitbart News. The people of this country have seen this scenario play out time and time again; the fact that Biden wishes to return to the days of Obamacare speaks volumes about why he is unfit to become the next president.
A Closer Look at Biden’s Plan for Healthcare in America
Essentially, Biden’s plan for healthcare is to expand upon Obamacare. Of course, this entails the restoration of the dreadful individual mandate which forced Americans to purchase unwanted and unaffordable healthcare. Under the Obama administration, many people simply opted to pay the penalty fee instead of purchasing the care, something which speaks volumes about the Unaffordable Care Act.
According to the former vice president, his plan will reduce healthcare costs and expand access for individuals without Obamacare coverage. Somehow, this all seems eerily parallel to Obama’s promise of, “if you like your plan, you keep your plan.” We all know that didn’t pan out very well, but nevertheless, Biden is bound and determined to campaign on a previously failed healthcare system.
The Dangers of Government-Run Healthcare
Democrats love using the government to force their healthcare plans down people’s throats. What they aren’t telling Americans is the reality that government-run healthcare is linked to the damage of rural hospitals, longer waiting times, and a decrease in the general quality of provided care. Sadly, if Democrats get their way with healthcare, the people of this country will be the ones who suffer the most.
