Since Joe Biden got into office, his chosen methods of going about the southern border have been problematic, at best. The president didn’t hesitate to pull back the policies set up by the Trump administration; yet, these policies weren’t replaced with any sort of new reforms.
This created a scenario where the southern border was wide open. It also incentivized illegal immigration, as seen in the spike in unlawful crossings since Biden’s been in the White House.
Republicans and others have repeatedly warned the president that how he’s managing the southern border poses national security risks. Sadly, the warnings have fallen on deaf ears.
Now, US air marshals are joining the chorus and calling out Biden, per Fox News.
A Closer Look at the Latest Criticism of Biden
American air marshals warn that terrorist groups like Al Qaeda are laying in wait and observing the various vulnerabilities on the southern border. From here, terrorists will be emboldened to strike, thanks to ongoing “madness” at the southern border.
US air marshals have furthermore pointed out the lack of protection our nation’s aviation domain is experiencing. Hence, organizations like Al Qaeda will attempt new methods to carry out attacks against the United States.

Right now, air marshals are hopeful that once the new Congress is completely sworn in, US lawmakers can help with serious border and national security issues. Until then, these federal officials are on edge and worried about how bad actors could perceive current events.
The Department of Homeland Security has already gotten word from the Air Marshal National Council that warns about protection issues with the US border and aviation. However, DHS secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has joined the Biden administration in making false claims that all is well at the border.
Uncertain Times
Even as air marshals hope for Congress to be able to intervene with how the border is being managed, the legislature has its own issues to contend with. Right now, the Republican-led House is still bickering over whom should be the Speaker of the House.
Meanwhile, the White House continues to disregard warnings from air marshals and others at each and every turn.

Last year, after the midterms ended, Biden was explicitly asked if he would make any changes to his leadership, due to the majority of Americans who believe the country is on the wrong track.
Biden clearly and categorically stated no. At this rate, there is no telling what all could transpire with the nation’s border and national security with this president in office.
