Biden: I Will "Not Yield" If Senate Subpoenas My Testimony in Impeachment Trial

Yesterday, House Democrats formally brought impeachment articles against President Trump. Alleging obstruction of justice and abuse of power, the leftist hacks professed that the president engaged in the impeachable offense of high crimes and misdemeanors. Of course, none of this is accurate; the impeachment sham is all simply based on falsehoods about Ukraine and a quid-pro-quo which never actually happened.

In the wake of Democrats formally bringing impeachment articles against Trump, the Senate is preparing for the possibility of conducting a trial. Since the Senate is controlled by Republicans, there’s been talk about whether or not this chamber will subpoena the testimony of Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, and other individuals who have truly engaged in corruption with Ukraine.

However, according to Breitbart News, Joe Biden maintains that he will ignore any such subpoena from the Senate if it comes his way.

Biden on Testifying in a Senate Trial

Anyone who has been following this Ukraine scandal is aware of how frequently Biden’s name comes up. After all, the former vice president is on record bragging about withholding aid from Ukraine until their government fired a prosecutor. Furthermore, Biden also used his power as the vice president to pull strings and get his son, Hunter, a lucrative job as a gas company board member.

In the wake of impeachment articles being formally brought against the president, there’s a real possibility that the Senate could hold a trial. During an NPR interview, Biden professed that the notion of him testifying in a Senate trial is nothing more than “a Trump gambit.” Before declaring that he’d ignore any Senate subpoenas, Biden made sure to state that he would not “take the eye off the ball” or let President Trump “divert attention.”

All of this simply raises new questions about what else Biden is hiding and why he fears testifying under oath.

Why the Senate Ought to Subpoena Biden’s Testimony

If the Senate does, in fact, hold a trial, Joe Biden should absolutely be subpoenaed to testify, along with his son Hunter Biden. If either one of the Bidens refuses, they should face legal penalties accordingly; the reality here is that when it comes to true corruption involving Ukraine, both Joe and Hunter Biden are as crooked as a dog’s hind leg.

Finally, the former vice president’s outright admission that he will “not yield” to subpoenas from the Senate should concern all Americans.
