Biden Claims He Asked Obama NOT to Endorse Him

2020 Democrat Joe Biden continues to have various struggles throughout what is now this third run for the White House.

In this campaign alone, Biden’s faced a series of accusations which stem from inappropriate physical contact with women. The former vice president also hasn’t helped his cause by making various verbal gaffes and blowing funds on private jets and fancy hotels when his campaign is cash-strapped. Moreover, news of his quid-pro-quo with Ukraine has generated additional scrutiny into Biden and his family.

As Biden’s campaign continues to play out, many Americans have wondered where former President Barack Obama is in all this. Obama and Biden served together in the White House for eight years; although, Obama currently has yet to endorse his former running mate.

Breitbart News reports Biden’s claim that he actually asked Obama not to endorse him.

Biden’s Claims on the Missing Obama Endorsement

The idea that Biden would ask his former running mate and the former president not to endorse him is challenging to believe. It wouldn’t be a stretch to state that Biden is simply being dishonest here, but this is the story he’s standing by.

Yesterday, the former vice president sat down for an interview with 60 Minutes. During this interview, Biden was asked about the missing Obama endorsement and whether or not he sought it out. According to Biden, he and Obama “didn’t even get there.”

The former vice president then went on to state that he wants to “earn” the Democrat nomination; although, Biden did profess that once he wins the Democrat nomination, he has every confidence that Obama will be “out on the campaign trail for [him].”

Obama has yet to confirm or deny whether he ever plans to endorse Joe Biden for president of the United States.

The Truth About the Missing Obama Endorsement

Biden’s claims about Obama’s missing endorsement are not particularly in alignment with the facts. Months ago, reports came out that the former president actually urged Biden not to run for office, even going as far as to state “you don’t have to do this, Joe.”

Now, Biden claims that he wants to “earn” his way to victory, with the caveat of getting an Obama endorsement after winning the Democrat nomination. It simply doesn’t make sense, nor does it match up with the logical way of running a campaign.

To the shock of no one, Biden is clearly hiding something about why Obama has not endorsed his candidacy.
