Over recent months, 2020 Democrat Joe Biden’s presidential campaign has been plagued by the scandals and controversies surrounding his son, Hunter Biden.
Whenever these issues inevitably arise, the former vice president becomes extremely defensive, if not downright hostile. Biden is on record challenging an event attendee to a push-up contest after the man confronted him about dealings in Ukraine. Moreover, when asked by the press about controversies surrounding Hunter, Biden has adamantly professed that it’s a “family matter.”

As a grown-adult in his 40s and with ties to the political world, Hunter Biden is not off-limits, despite what his father might wish for. During last night’s Democrat debate in Iowa, the former vice president went after Republicans and conservatives; per Biden’s own admission, he believes that the right-wing is responsible for “savaging” Hunter, as documented by Breitbart News.
Playing Victim on Behalf of His Son
On the debate stage, CNN moderator Wolf Blitz questioned Biden about the prospect of running against President Trump, in light of the president’s upcoming acquittal in the Senate and statements about corruption within the Biden family. The former vice president, however, shrugged it off, stating that Trump’s note of Hunter’s work for a Ukraine gas company is “irrelevant.”
Biden continued, however, going off into a montage about the president is responsible for “impeachable offenses,” offenses which Biden couldn’t even name. Shortly thereafter, he went after conservatives and Republicans, stating that the right-wing is telling “flat-out lies” about Hunter. Yet again, this simply isn’t true.
The truth is that Hunter Biden is up to his eyeballs in scandal and mess…and none of it is going away. Not only did the former vice president’s son father a love child with a stripper (despite being newly remarried), but Hunter even lied about his paternity until the DNA tests became public.
To make matters worse for himself, Hunter has also landed on the radar of legal authorities for alleged money-laundering, fraud, and counterfeit schemes. This comes amidst news of his father pulling strings to get him working for a Ukraine gas company, then blackmailing Ukraine’s government to fire a prosecutor investigating said gas company.
Joe Biden shouldn’t be angry at conservatives or the Republican Party. Whatever mess Hunter is in has been engendered by his own actions and decisions.
Facing the Music
Joe Biden can point his finger at right-wingers as much as he likes, but it won’t erase the controversies surrounding his son. No matter what the former vice president says about Trump, Hunter Biden is still responsible for the massive legal issues he’s facing, along with his newfound paternity.

As the 2020 presidential election continues to play out, more details will likely emerge about Hunter; this is a guarantee if Biden manages to secure the Democrat Party’s nomination. If probing into the very public knowledge of Hunter’s actions is too much for Joe Biden to handle, perhaps he should reconsider his status as a presidential candidate.
