Whenever a mass shooting happens, one of the first things Democrats do is politicize it by calling for stricter gun control laws. If you let the leftists tell it, gun control will save us all and finally put an end to gun violence; yet, time and time again, this has been proven to be inaccurate.
The fact of the matter is that, by definition, criminals do not follow gun control laws. In actuality, gun free zones are open hunting grounds for criminals who are looking to commit murder against defenseless individuals, and yet, this has not stopped Democrats from habitually rallying against the Second Amendment, as documented by Townhall.

Following the horrific New Zealand shooting, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced a widespread ban on a variety of weapons.

Of course, here in America, it didn’t take long for socialist Bernie Sanders to laud the New Zealand Prime Minster’s decision and assert that the United States should also ban “assault weapons.”

In vowing his agreement with New Zealand, Sanders seemingly forgot about the Second Amendment laws which exist within the United States of America. Virtually all firearms could be viewed as “assault weapons.”

Typically, when Democrats call for gun control, they insist that they only aim to stop criminals from accessing firearms. The left overwhelmingly maintains that they are not trying to infringe on the Second Amendment and take away the guns of law-abiding citizens…and yet, Sanders’ tweet all but confirms the exact opposite.
Now more than ever, it’s important for Americans to stand by and fight for our Second Amendment rights. If the left-wing had their way, they would ban every gun in this country, which is what Sanders’ has pretty much called for. After all, barring law-abiding citizens from gun ownership makes it a lot easier for socialists to ram their policies upon Americans without us fighting back.
